Love how the notes become characters in this video, something i could do?

The types of musical notes that could be used in the musical mosh pit 

The I can animate workshop. Unfortunately we couldn't export our videos as quicktime so we used the screen recording function on the mac instead.

This is possibly the most beautiful Youtube video I have ever seen. I'm still looking at ways of animating my storyboard and this is possibly one of the nicest motion sequences I have ever seen.

Script:

1. Black and White 80's Boombox. Song isn't playing yet
2. Finger comes in and turns the boombox on, Boombox starts to dance and shake.
3. Notes start bouncing out the boombox. 
4. They bounce into a new frame.
5. Notes start hitting into each other and bouncing off each other
6. One of the notes breaks
7. Notes start running away
8. Finger comes and turns the boombox off

Just listened to my track again and I am going to use the first 30 seconds and to me it sounds like a mosh pit of notes. The notes are clashing against each other and sound like they are smashing into each other. Got an idea now :)

Massive Creative block right now, Really struggling to come up with a concept. So i'm going to go skateboarding and see if I can come up with a concept by the time I come back home.

Looking for a new concept I went back to my all time favourite animated videos. Very simple concept and easy to animate just trying to work out how these simple animations could be related to my music.

The three words I have chosen to relate to my animation are CLASHING,ENERGETIC and UPBEAT

I am currently really struggling to relate Skateboarding to a narrative, concept or Idea. I have an idea to have a mini skateboarder skating up and down a ramp but the idea comes to a full stop when i have to relate it to a story or narrative. So I am going to start looking at another way of thinking about the animation possibly a different subject but using the same ideas I've had already.

These images are from Kingpin Magazine. I started to look at how sequential photography could be used within my animation and how film stills could be used to show movement.

The song I was given reminded me of this video so much that I went back to it and started looking at how I could do this as an illustration but my lack of knowledge in illustrator and After effects has forced me to look at stop motion photography and how that could be applied to a skateboarding video.

This is the song i was given. At First to me it just sounded like a clashing noise and the tempo changed so much I wasn't sure that I could ever make an animation to it. But then I listened for a 5th time and to me it sounded like something I had heard before in a skate video.
